Does the inversion portion of an Anusara class seem like the perfect time for a bathroom break?
Inversions can be intimidating and scary. When we go upside down, things become more challenging, we can get tired, fearful and tend to forget our alignment. Turning your world upside down requires a heart full of courage, a body infused with awareness and a great sense of humor.
Adho Mukha Vrksasana (handstand) teaches us to trust in the back body more than any other pose. We will delve into the balanced action of light and dark in the front and back body by developing confidence and strength for safe practice of inverted postures. This workshop is appropriate for new or hesitant but curious students. We will explore preparatory postures and modifications, and move toward developing confidence and balance in the full poses. Each student will receive guidance and alignment refinement to arrive at a balanced place in the heart.
Limited to 5 (must pre-register to attend)
