As teachers, we’re showing our students how to bring ease back to their lives through ancient movements. We offer them various ways in which they can focus their attention, in order to be more present to themselves and their actions. And although we’re versed in biomechanics and in the language of inspiring from our hearts, there are still areas of our private lives in which we avoid, defend, over-manage or under-manage. And in these areas, we are unable to lead ourselves – or others – in a healing direction. This detracts from our teaching, erodes our ability to connect and depletes our drive to be creative.
Hint: If there is anything you’d hide from your students right now, or if you wake up and feel like you have nothing to teach, this class is for you. There’s more in you that will be revealed through this work.
Learn how to connect to your own heart, and the heart of your teaching, in a very direct, factual way.
