In continuing her investigation of anatomical and movement practices, she chose to combine dance and pre-medical studies at Mount Holyoke College where she participated in stem cell research, original movement research and earned recognition for the development of the Volution Method®, a teaching methodology targeting joint stabilization, posture aligning and correcting movement patterns. After first experiencing yoga in high school, Kate found a lasting practice in New York City beginning at OM yoga studio, where she became certified under Cyndi Lee. Continuing her investigation into the depths of the yogic path she certified under Judith Lasater, and Yoga Shanti with Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee.

Rosalyn’s own transformative experience through pregnancy and motherhood serve to influence her teachings and own yoga practice. In 2009, after 7 years of study and practice, Rosalyn completed her Anusara Yoga Teacher Training at Virayoga with Zhenja LaRosa. She continued her practice all throughout pregnancy and postpartum, learning to incorporate modifications and therapeutics in her practice, with the guidance of her mentor Jennifer Pettit. Her prenatal yoga practice served to encourage bonding with baby and also provided tools and the courage to manage labor and birth. Rosalyn is honored to support women through their own personal journey and to share her own insights with the community. Rosalyn’s had careers in art and in teaching children, and is currently teaching in a parent-child program called the Brooklyn Forest School. Rosalyn extends deep gratitude to all the Virayoga teachers, including Zhenja LaRosa, Jennifer Pettit, Eric Stoneberg, and Elena Brower, who’ve enlightened her path along the way.

In 2003 she completed her first Teacher Training with Ana Forrest, learning the potential of will and its power of transformation. With Angela Farmer she studied the inner workings of the human heart, mind, body, and soul. Most recently, Glenna completed her 200-hour Anusara Yoga Teacher Training with Zhenja La Rosa, and has been in mentorship with Elena Brower since 2011. Her greatest accomplishment: bringing yoga to young women in underserved communities and seeing the light of self-love gleam in their eyes. Glenna’s mission is to help young women discover their own inherent power through their practice.
